I’M UPSTAIRS IN MY LOFT pecking away on my HP laptop. The morning light is just now revealing itself and I am becoming aware that it is finally getting lighter out.

It takes long winter nights to move me into this realization. It is indeed one of the recognitions that tells me that soon spring will sneak into Michigan.
It makes me happy.
This march to lighter days began just before Christmas on December 21st when the winter solstice arrived. This may be a fact, but it seems like it was slower than molasses this year.
Come on April, let’s get through March!
